Good day!
Here I had complexities with reading a site www.ajdabiya.com.
The matter is that instead of normal letters at my screen I have absolutely not clear signs.
Probably you have some technical problems on the site?
Prompt me please how to make so that letters on the monitor became letters again, instead of be not clear signs as now?
I thank in advance,
Lora McBride, from http://puteshestviy.net

Hi

I had the pleasure of working in Libya from June 1984 to september 1986. Of this time I lived in Ajdabia for about one year. I found the people there to be very freindly and very helpfull, I also forun the landscape very impressive, especially the beautiful beaches. While I was living there I worked With Siemens AG building a large electrical sub station which was situated just off the main benghazi road about 30 minutes north of Ajdebia. Is it still there?

Nick

Hi there Nick, thank you for stopping by, and for the nice words that have really meant a lot to me, nice to hear from you The electrical station is still there-I guess…

Cheers!

"And let me make it clear here, that no body else- other than us, the Ajdabiyans- would care enough to make such a thing happening. Nobody will care about this other than us, the Ajdabiyans who care about Ajdabiya and its name" ~ Youcef Marzooq Youcef.

Dear brother Youcef,
before i say anything, I wish you and your family Ramadan Kareem and may you use this month to the best of your abilities :) I am a big fan of your website (i discovered a few weeks ago) and I read your article regarding the motsafiya building. I agree its a beautiful building and it would be a great loss to the libyan people (not only those from ajdabiya) if they were to demolish this historic building. I loved your article until the part that I quoted above. Its sad walahi that one would believe that this feeling still exists in libya. For me, I was raised to love all of libya and to look at libya as my country.. not looking at which city i belonged to or whatever..

as i was reading your article (before i got to the part i quoted above) i felt a rush like something has to be done to save this building.. (and im not from ajdabiya by the way) because it is part of libyan history.. i admire you for your love for ajdabiya.. there arent many people out there who are as passionate about their country or city in this case but at the same time, i dont think its right to say that no one else would care about this building except the "ajdabiyans" and i think thats wrong because i am sure that there are other people like me who are not from there that would disagree with you on that. If I could do something to save this building I would.. (besides signing the petition) and I honestly mean it.. because I feel its a part of me.

I am so proud of you that you have made this article public and made people aware of this.. and I have forwarded your petition link to all my friends.. libyans and non libyans (of course the link to the article because they will want to know what they are signing ) and your article has made me decide that i will go inshallah to ajdabiya and visit the building myself (if i am able to get indoors.. i dont think i will gain the same type of access as you ) See what you have inspired? i am sure there are many people like me who are going to do this.. and they are not from ajdabiya.. i like to think that we are all libyans.. and being from a certain city is not of concern.. cuz its the "i am libyan" is what matters.. Anyway I do not mean to offend you in anyway and i apologize if that was the case. Excellent job on the website and the topics.. you do have a gift and i hope you continue using it

your sister in islam

Dear Sister "A",

Thank you so much for your visit and, for your enlightening post. I totally agree with you… But, when I wrote "that no body else- other than us, the Ajdabiyans.." I was referring to the state authorities in Libya, and all kinds of public authorities… Besides, when I was writing the article, I was talking to local Ajdabiyans the whole time, to let them know the historical value of the building and to "generate" some enthusiasm about this case…

Of course, being a Libyan is what matters… but my dear sister "A", this wasn't the case here….as I said, I was trying to convince a certain group of people (basically local Ajdabiyans) of the fair case of the building… that's all.
So sorry if my words were by anyway offensive to you or anyone else. I'm so proud of being Libyan too, and soon, me and a couple of friends, gonna launch a mega website- basically in English, which gonna be the biggest e-portal about our beautiful Libya… We still in the preparation phase, I'm expecting the website is gonna be online in few months…. Also, when I come back from a 1 week trip to Germany, I'm gonna travel to many parts inside Libya, making my in-depth report about the illegal immigration ( A hot Libyan/international topic)… I mean, I just hope this point is cleared up now…

About your visit to the building, I hope you enjoy it and it might be useful to keep the expectations low about your visit, when it comes to the hotels, infrastructure and everything… so you won't think that I lied to you (lol)!

I hope that we can invite you and Abdo very soon and I wish you both all happiness together… he's very, very, very special…
